Hello, you beautiful soul, and welcome to “The Alchemy Scrolls”...

The title of this blog was created over what was initially a joke between two friends. We’d been laughing over using our cell phones to “doom-scroll” on social media, and he looked at me during his Aha! moment, and said, “The Alchemy Scrolls”.

It was settled then. The blog I’d been planning to write, which would have been called “Raaia Writes”, has a new name. Not to mention, he’d given me a deadline to get my first post out by the next Monday.

So, here I am, unraveling my first scroll with a brief tale about being held accountable by a friend.

Hmmm…

Let’s dive deeper into this, shall we?

It’s important to have someone like that in our lives. Someone who keeps us accountable, someone who motivates us to step into our fullest potential, our higher-selves, and do the things that we wish to do. A vision is only a vision until it takes flight with inspired action, but sometimes, we’re way too stubborn to actually listen to our inner voices and cave. That’s when an outer voice comes in to shake us up a little, or maybe it’s a careful stir, that causes a ripple effect to put the right pieces together and set things into motion for us.

That’s what the vision is for The Alchemy Scrolls - to be a blog that you can come to when you need a little motivation, a little nudge in the right direction on your own journey.

As the founder of House of Raaia, I began this company as a safe haven for those of us who need hope, or a friend, and to build a community of people who can be there for one another. But getting to this place where I can pour into others was no easy feat, and my journey was gruesome at times, eased mostly with the help, guidance, and friendships of other supportive souls who allowed me to bloom into the woman I am today.

A work of art, but still a work in progress. Always a work of art in progress. I don’t think the journey of healing, transforming, and becoming, ever ends, but all it takes is one decision to meet your higher-self, before you’re sprung onto the right path towards getting to your highest timeline.

And sometimes, it’s not pretty. Don’t be fooled; the spiritual journey is not all love and light and warmth. Sometimes, God will fling you from the highest peaks and into the depths of darkness and shadow that threaten to consume you, regurgitate your insides, and spit you out like you're a bitter taste.

That’s when one friend can become the safety net that cushions your fall, or shines a light at the end of the dark and gloomy tunnel to show you the right way out. That’s when you’ll pick up the sword forged in the flames of your becoming, and conquer the dragons that kept you locked in the tower in the first place.

Because that’s what a true friend is; not a savior, but someone who opens your eyes to the fact that you were always meant to be your own hero. You can save yourself, through faith, and by God’s grace, and that’s what God intends for us to discover.

I hope you can find that here. I hope you can find a friend that brings you hope through your darkest days, who shines a light in your dark tunnel and reminds you that you can be your own healer.

I am blessed to have had these friends come in throughout different moments in my healing journey, sent by God with voices that echoed whispers of Divine guidance, and hands that carried healing as old as time. With House of Raaia, this is how I give back, in service of others, and in service of myself, with this safe space I've created to tell my story and the stories that deserve to be told.

Now, back to the scrolls…

“What are the scrolls?” you may ask.

Well, think of it as the ancient texts that reside within us all: the sacred “remembering” that occurs when we heal, and connect to the Divine Source of all creation. Some call the Creator “God”, “Allah”, “Yahweh”, “Source”, “The Universe”, and many other names that point in the same direction.

Within.

Healing peels away layers of trauma, hurt, negative patterns, limiting beliefs, generational curses, etc., that prevent us from finding that connection to the Almighty. Reconnecting with Source is where we find wholeness, and with these scrolls, I hope you can find your wholeness again, even if it’s just by resonating with a story I tell.

We all have a story to share, and my oh my! Do I have some stories for you! I haven’t even hit thirty yet, but I have weathered some storms that might have you frowning, jaw dropped as you wonder… “How the hell is she still alive?”

Well, fortunately (and unfortunately for those who tried to steal my shine or drain my light because they’re just empty vessels who needed a source of power to stay merely existing), I have found my connection with Source, and I am ready to thrive!

I read something the other day which said that the best thing a woman can do is not be stronger, but remain whimsical, be more magical, and more delusional. I looked at myself in the mirror one day, and decided that I was the entire universe in human form, this magical, soulful, beautiful and vibrant being, with a heart of gold and unyielding love to give to the world, and I was like, “Damn, sis! You really are that girl!”

I am all kinds of whimsical. I speak my enemies to filth with Hekate on a Friday night like she’s my best friend, go on coffee dates on Saturday afternoons with Archangel Michael because he’s that guy, have breakfast with my son on a Sunday morning while we chat about the cosmos and infinite universes, write letters to God every morning because I love writing, and channel my late father when I need a pick-me-up, and he writes poems of comfort for me. I am that girl, and I am done with hiding.

No more shame. No more fear.

I am a fearless phoenix who wields magic and whimsy, setting fire to cages because I'm not a fragile dove, while maintaining my softness and receptivity to all the blessings God has in store for me. For the longest time, I hid who I was, until I broke a generational curse tied to my ancestors - the fear of being seen. A fear that I was born with because I'd burned at the stake in a previous life for being a “witch”. Call me what you want, honey, but every time you speak my name, God bestows more blessings upon me. Keep ‘em coming, ‘cause my man Michael doesn't play when it comes to me!

Sigh…

I wasn't always fearless. Deep down, from a young age, I knew I was meant for great things, while I mixed plants and herbs in the garden and baked mud pies for the fairies who kept me company. But life happened, and the enemy triumphed for a short while, dimming my shine and spiraling me further and further away from my divine essence.

But healing allowed me to reclaim my divinity, and make amends with my inner masculine and feminine, my inner child, my higher-self, and God. Now, I'm just a passenger princess in God's vehicle, making stopovers to serve the places which require my light.

Yes, I am crazy. Yes, I am delusional. And I welcome you to be crazily delusional with me. Who said there needs to be limits on what we can achieve, or on the greatness God can provide?

The system?

Blegh!

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a topic for another scroll…

Hence, we are walking away from “doom-scrolling”, and reclaiming our divine essence through healing.

Here, we will navigate through “remembrance" by sharing our lived experiences, and sharing stories that may resonate with you in a way that can help you heal, transform, and not just become, but remember who you are, so that you can become whole again.

While I embrace the part of me who loves yapping by writing this blog, take this as a moment of respite from the noise, from “doom-scrolling”, inhale through your nose, and exhale with a powerful sigh through your mouth. Grab your favourite cup of tea, get comfortable, and enjoy the ride!

Welcome to this sacred remembering…

Welcome to The Alchemy Scrolls.

With Love
